Sr. Brenda Marie Brunston

Sr. Linda Marie Arico professed final vows as a Sister of the Holy Redeemer on Sunday August 1, 2004 in their Provincialate Chapel in Huntingdon Valley, PA. Sr. Veronika Stauch, CSR, General Superior of the Congregation in Germany was present for the ceremony. The Liturgy was presided over by Rev. Cassian Yuhaus,CP and the homily was given by Rev. Timothy Judge. Fr. Cassian has been the Spiritual director of the American Province of the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer for many years.

Sister Linda entered the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer in May of 1995. Since then she has served in a variety of the Congregation’s ministries: Project Rainbow, St. Joseph Manor, and Redeemer Village. At Redeemer Village Sr. Linda was the Assistant Manager of Housing for the past five years. Each ministry has called forth different gifts in Linda and she has enjoyed all of her experiences and working with a variety of people, from the very young to the very old.

Following her profession of religious vows as a Sister of the Holy Redeemer, Sr. Linda began teaching computers and religion and now resides with Our Lady of Peace Community in Swainton, NJ. The Sisters of the Holy Redeemer are the sponsoring Congregation of Holy Redeemer Health System including the Holy Redeemer Visiting Nurse Agency throughout Southern New Jersey.

Sister Linda was educated at Glassboro State College (now Rowan) where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education.

In community, Sr. Linda has graciously used her singing talents to enhance liturgies in the Provincialate Chapel and throughout the Holy Redeemer Health System. Sr. Linda has also been a willing participant in theatrical productions staged by the community for special occasions and feasts. Sr. Linda’s willingness to be of service wherever needed has been a hallmark of her years in community.

Sr. Linda Marie Arico, CSR is the daughter of James and Judith Arico, a native of Piscataway New Jersey and a graduate of Piscatway High School. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Cabrini Church in Piscataway for many years. Her parents still reside in Piscataway.
