The first step of the application process is to complete the preliminary application form. Once this form is received by the RMC office, it is acknowledge with a phone call or e-mail note. A full application packet is then sent. This includes the application, references and medical forms. Applicants need to request a copy of their high school/ college/university transcripts. The Director will keep you updated on the status of your application and maintain communication with you during this process.
Once all of the application materials are received the next step is the interview process. It is preferred that the interviews take place at the RMC office. Applicants are responsible for transportation to the RMC office. The RMC program will provide you with housing and meals. Telephone interviews are possible but not recommended. The Director will arrange a mutually convenient date and time to conduct the interviews. There are three interviews, one with the Director, one with a psychologist (to assess strengths and limitations) and one with a committee (2 people familiar with RMC). During the interview process, applicants will have the opportunity to visit the potential placement sites and meet with the supervisors. It generally takes about one week for decisions to be made on the status of the interviews. The RMC Director will communicate all decisions by telephone and by letter.
The deadline to submit applications is May 31st, however, extensions are possible providing placement site availability.
